The Tree

The Tree is a primary corponent in the Grenson world. It functions as the source for all food and agriculture in the Universe and is rooted in the heart of Bello. Cared for by the Farms Coalition, the Tree’s mountain-sized roots are invasive and extend far throughout the continent.

Even before the events of Rook’s death, data suggested that the Tree’s agricultural output had diminished to half of what it used to be 500 years ago, leading to strict rationing to other worlds and Universe-wide hunger. Rumors and reports circulated that the Tree is dying, degrading with very little time left. This has led to a fervor from Universe leaders calling for a alternative food source solution.

The Tree sheds an offspring seed every thousand years, as means and hope for growth of another Tree.
